The Hague Academy of International Law, in partnership with Vanuatu, is offering a specialized program on “International Law, Climate Change, and Climate Justice: Achievements and Challenges” focused on five core topics:
- The international regime for the protections of the environment and the climate system.
- International law and the protection of SIDS in the face of climate change and rising sea levels recent developments - aspects related to the law of sea and the environment.
- International law and the protection of SIDS in the face of climate change and rising sea levels recent developments - aspects related to statehood and the protection of person affected.
- Dealing with climate change issues within investment arbitration: challenges and prospective assessments.
- Access to inter-state justice; ways and limits to the peaceful settlement of inter-state disputes.
This prestigious course is open to highly qualified young civil servants and academics from the Pacific Islands and provides a valuable opportunity to deepen expertise in international climate law.
