On the 3rd of December, 2025 the PNA Office received a visit from 10th graders from the Majuro Cooperative School as part of a field trip for their Communications and Network class. Mr. Penihulo Lopati, the Vessel Day Scheme/Vessel Monitoring System (VDS/VMS) Officer, briefed the students on the history of the PNA and the VDS. Mr. Lopati highlighted the importance of communication and networking systems in supporting the efficient operation of the PNA Office, with particular emphasis on their role in enabling VDS services for PNA members.
John Kelimana, the Information Technology Manager (IT), explained how the office network operates, described the tools used for communication and daily operations, and outlined the modern ICT systems used in the PNA Office.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of the building. The IT Manager explained the office internet and security systems, while the Capacity Development Officer introduced the students to the different units and described the work of each team.
