Nadi, Fiji – 28 April 2025

The Parties to the Nauru Agreement (PNA) held the first official workshop of their new Legal Working Group at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi, Fiji, from 28 April to 2 May 2025.

Although two informal PNA legal workshops had been held previously, this was the first formal meeting of the Legal Working Group as a recognized body, with its own role in the PNA process, and with its own set of tasks, as required from time to time.

Legal representatives from the PNA member countries came together to work on their first set of legal tasks to improve the legal arrangements they have put in place to collectively and successfully manage their tuna fisheries.
